Vintage Green Spongeware Earthenware Pottery Casserole
This fabulous green spongeware casserole dish with lid is most likely circa 1877 - 1915 from Morton Pottery in Morton, Illinois due to its ribbed design and pattern. This dish is in excellent condition with just a few oil spots but NO chips, cracks or crazing. Lid is in fine condition also with no chips etc. . Great piece for your collection, and one that does not come along too often in this condition. Base measures in at 7 ¼ ” wide at the rim edge, and 3" deep and 4” with lid.
