Vintage Hardcover Children's Story Books Group of 7 (Various Publishers, 1960-76). The 1960s was an iconic time for syndicated animated television, with studios like Hanna-Barbera leading the way. Offered in this lot is a collection of 7 vintage hardcover children's books featuring licensed characters from a variety of 60s cartoons. Yogi Bear appears in both a large 10.25" x 12.5" and small 5.5" x 6.25" picture book, both titled Hey, There- It's Yogi Bear (Whitman, 1964) which feature stories with similar themes and plots but different text and illustrations. The second larger book presented is Huckelberry Hound (Golden Press, 1960), measuring 8.5" x 11" and featuring all the characters from his eponymous cartoon show including Yogi and Boo Boo. Two Little Golden Books are also included featuring Bob Clampett's Beany Goes to Sea (1963) and Hanna-Barbera's Loopy de Loop Goes West (1960), both measuring 6.5" x 8". The final two books average 6.5" x 7.5" in size, featuring Hanna-Barbera's Great Grape Ape at the Circus (Rand McNally, 1976) and Crusader Rabbit in Bubble Trouble (Whitman, 1960). An interesting note, Crusader Rabbit was the very first animated series produced specifically for television rather than theatrical release. Don't miss this nostalgic collection of childhood favorites. All books display heavy handling wear including scuffs, folds, and tears with spine and surface damage. Overall Fair to Poor condition.
