Playful "Little Joe Otter", complete with fishing pole & his can of worms, makes this cup plate a joy to have in your collection. Thornton W. Burgess, renowned children's author and naturalist, was born in Sandwich, Massachusetts in 1874 &spent much of his youth in the woods, fields & streams of Sandwich, growing to love the beauty of nature & the animals. His experiences & observations formed the foundation for over 170 books & over 15,000 bedtime stories. On a window sill, these cup plates capture the sun beautifully, further accentuating the intricate designs & color.
