LOT 0132

Vintage Persian Enamel Silver Bracelet early-mid 20th C

[ translate ]

A silver (.875) link bracelet with eight hand painted panels. Six are of birds, deer, and flowers. One panel shows a building. One is a geometric splash of flowers that resembles a Persian carpet. The bracelet is a highly, detailed piece of Persian enameling.

The clasp has a floral button which locks the bracelet. The clasp is an insert that fits the hole at the opposite end. There is a Persian silver hallmark on the end link. The bottom mark is a tilted version of the 84 standard marks (.875 purity). The upper mark is the mark of the silversmith, which I wasn’t able to identify.

MEASUREMENTS
8 ½” (21.6 cm) long x 1 1/8” (2.9 cm) tall. Approximately 2 ¼” (57 mm) inside diameter. Weighs 2.64 oz (75.1 g)

CONDITION

There are no breaks, cracks, or chips. There are some light scratches to both the metal and enameled panels, but they are minor. The silver is tarnished and could use a nice polish.

A intricate handmade silver and enamel bracelet.
