Vintage Southwestern Sterling Turquoise Necklace
Vintage Southwestern Sterling Turquoise Necklace, 18" 16.62 grams. This is a 1970's-1980's necklace with a 2.5 snake chain, round.The pendant is 1-1/8" long and 7/8" wide. It has a wide stamped base with a rope accents around the base of the stone. he turquoise is close to teardrop or pear shaped. The turquoise has veining that looks real however it is a glossy and smooth finish which makes me suspect a created turquoise. The pendant is not marked or signed but tests solidly as sterling silver. The chain was tested and is sterling and is also marked .925 and Italy. Very good condition - no real wear but typical tarnish that can be cleaned if desired on the pendant - the chain has a little wear but is still very nice and older and better quality than many you see that are new. I do not polish vintage pieces as most buyers prefer the piece as is.
