Literature

Released in 1978 (or 1979 depending on the production run) by Game Plan Inc., the Star Trip cocktail pinball machine was an unconventional tabletop arcade game designed to be played while sitting down. Capitalizing on the late-1970s cocktail cabinet craze led by video games, Game Plan Inc. produced compact sit-down pinball units meant for lounges, bars, and pubs where patrons could rest drinks and socialize. Rarity: Because Game Plan Inc. transitioned into full-size upright machines like Sharpshooter and produced a limited run of their cocktail variants, surviving Star Trip tables are exceptionally rare today and considered prized collectibles for retro arcade enthusiasts.
