Vintage Sterling Amber Butterfly Ring, Wide, Size 8
Vintage Sterling Amber Butterfly Ring, Size 8 - signed V8, .925, Poland - and tested. Weight is 6.55 grams. The butterfly sits over a wide band and has the look like the butterfly was cut out of the wide band and is lifted up like it is just sitting on the band. The Butterfly is 19.4mm wide and 17.5mm down the finger. It has two larger oval amber cabochons that are appx. 7.8mm by 5.8mm and are a green mossy amber and a honey amber. The two stones in the back are appx. 6mm by 3.5mm and one is lager or light honey colored and the other a red hued amber - that one is clear - the rest have the bubbles and things seen inside amber. These could be created amber such as resin - not sure but either way it is an interesting ring and does test as sterling. The band is wide at 17.5mm at the top of the ring where the wings are which is the widest point and then it tapers down to 4mm at the back of the finger. Very good condition, looks new.
