Vintage Sterling Silver Navajo Turquoise Old Pawn Cuff

[ translate ]

Vintage Jewelry: Vintage Sterling Silver Old Pawn/Navajo Turquoise Cuff Bracelet - 5" with 1.25 opening - triple band, signed RL. Weight is 29.22 grams. Large triangular turquoise stone that is sawtooth bezel set. The stone is 1.25" down one side with a slight curve at the time and 1-1/8" on the other long side and about 1" at the top. This has very nice silver work accents as well, a curved feather and other curved accent with bead accents as well. The top of the bracelet is about 1.5" long and the area that has the stone and silver work is about 1-1/3" wide. The band has two main bands with a twisted rope accent down the center. This is a true vintage piece - it was black as coal when I got it - if I still have a photo I will post that too but there was a split in the twisted band and outer band and I had it repaired - in the repair process they have to remove the stone and reset it - which is good because that makes it very secure but they polish it in the process as well. The person who owned this before seemed to have bent the bracelet to put it on a larger wrist than it was meant to be on and over time that will cause it to break - just like bending a wire hanger - eventually you can break it - they were not clean breaks but splits. It looks new now. If you buy this you want to be sure that you are not pushing this that you have a 6" or under wrist - it will move slightly but the idea is not to constantly pull it open and squeeze it closed. It does not easily flex - you have to really pull and push which is highly recommended that you don't do with any piece - especially these nice old pieces. This came from an Estate sale in PA where I was able to get a few Native/Southwestern pieces
