Vintage Von Lengerke & Detmold Surf Casting Reel
A German silver and hard rubber reel made by and marked with Julius Vom Hofe's 1889 patent, this 5/0 size 4 1/2" diameter, 2" wide spool reel shows only minor wear with no cracks in the hard rubber. A loud click and locking handle nut are featured on this example with honest patina, in about VG condition showing a very slight twist to the handle near the grasp.
