Virgil Cantini Sculpture Bronze Brass and Glass Sculpture

Cantini, Virgil D. (American/Pittsburgh, 1919-2009) Untitled Sculpture, 1967, patinated bronze, brass, and slag glass sculpture. Balanced rods support a stylized figure below a circular element which holds a piece of colorless slag glass, textured disc balanced at one end, all supported by a cube form base mounted to a wooden plinth. Warm patina throughout. Incised signature and date on the disc, signed again on the side of the figure. 24 x 22 inches.
