Southside Virginia, attributed to Sussex County, late 18th century, yellow pine secondary, dovetailed case, lipped hinged slant lid with lopers, interior with central hinged prospect door opening to reveal an open interior above a small drawer, signed to interior of small drawer; flanked by eight pigeon holes with valances and seven small drawers, the case with four flush graduated long drawers with scratch bead, molded base, shaped bracket feet with spur.
42.75 x 43 x 21.5 in. Case width 42 in.
Small drawer inside prospect to bottom signature appears to read "Sept. 20th 1815 / Made for Henry Greene?...Cap.... / by Jacob Greene...?"
