Vittorio Cavalleri (Turin 1860 - Gerbido 1938) , landscape, oil on panel, signed on bottom right. Size of the painting only: 26 x 37 cm - with original coeval frame: 37 x 47 cm. Artwork in good condition. From a private collection. Genre painter, portraitist and most of all an appreciated landscape painter. At the age of eighteen Vittorio Cavalleri enrolled in the courses of the Accademia Albertina and had Andrea Gastaldi as his teacher. He attended the Albertina together with the painters Andrea Tavernier and Lorenzo Delleani. In the same year of his diploma, 1883, he exhibited at the Circolo degli Artisti He taught in Turin, at the evening courses of the Accademia Albertina. In his painting there is a naturalist influence and an imprint.
