Renee Fleming wore this dress for the PBS Great Performances broadcast of Renee Fleming: Sacred Songs and Carols, which was recorded at Mainz Cathedral in Germany. Property from the Collection of Renee Fleming, New York, New York, to benefit the Renee Fleming Foundation.
Dark purple, pink and grey silk taffeta dress with an asymmetrical loose draped bodice, which falls into a very full skirt with train. The dress is sewn to an inner corset, cut in the 18th century style, yet with side panels of elastic. There are long sleeves that are draped into the center front neckline, which dips in the center front. The dress closes down the center back with a separating zipper on the corset and an invisible zipper into the skirt. Extending down the right front of the skirt and on the left front of the bodice are small crystals adhered to the silk taffeta. The draped skirt is further held in place by a series of inner tapes, which are stitched to the bottom of the inner corset.

Overall excellent condition with a series of small pin marks in the pink silk over the right chest from what appears to be a brooch or pin that was repeatedly worn (see image).
