Cerused oak and oak veneer, glass
In two parts, the upper case comprising a center section with two doors, one having a concealed keyhole behind a sliding handle, both fitted with cocktail glass holders to interior of doors, the interior of section with mirrored back and black glass liner, flanked by two open vitrines, each with two adjustable glass shelves, and designed to have each a pair of sliding glass doors, the center section surmounting a pull-out shelf, also lined with black glass; the lower section having a divided center section, originally fitted with a stereo and speaker, concealed behind tambour doors, flanked by two sections behind single doors, the left with a single shelf, the right with a pull-out desk organizer, drawer, and shelf.
Both sections stamped to backs: "Kagan-Dreyfuss - New York, A Vladimir Kagan Design"

Note

The present lot was one of the earliest designs Kagan created for Kagan-Dreyfuss, Inc., and was a joint project between Kagan and his father, Illi Kagan (who ran the Kagan-Dreyfuss workshops).

In poor to fair estate condition, with heavy wear commensurate with age and everyday family use; this includes loss of finish, heavy scuffs and scratches, wear to edges and corners; sliding glass door for upper section not present; right-hand door for lower section present but detached, with damaged hinges; the center section with audio equipment no longer present; tambour doors function as intended; key for upper section not present; a sturdy and well-made early piece that would benefit from complete restoration.
