Note
The present lot was designed by Kagan in 1950 as his office desk that he shared with his partner, Hugo Dreyfuss, in their East 57th St. offices in New York. Kagan was 23 years old at the time of the desk's design, and he reacquired the desk in his last years to include in his personal design archive.

Would benefit from restoration; overall heavy wear, scuffs, scratches, finish and veneer losses (this includes a 2 3/8 in. x 3/4 in. veneer loss to top and various notable veneer losses to edges of drawers and doors; two corners at head of desk missing rounded corner pieces; bookcase at head of desk missing top and bottom fascia trim; one bookshelf present; one cabinet door missing; one fascia panel at top edge of base loose but present; worktop mounting hardware included.
