VLADIMIR SICHOV Born October 23, 1945 in Kazan, capital of the Tatar Republic, he studied radio engineering and began photography in 1965. 1970-1971: Engineer at Baikonur, space center of the USSR. 1972: Professional photographer in Moscow. 1974-1979: Unofficial friend of painters, he exhibited their works in his apartment. 1979: departure from the USSR for FRANCE. Vladimir SICHOV is the first Soviet photographer to leave the USSR with his archives. As soon as he arrived in PARIS, the world press published its reports on daily life in the Soviet Union.
