Hynais worked as a portraitist and painter of figural scenes in a suggestive presentation of salon naturalism and luminism, a painting concept based on the color expression of light in a picture with changes in local colors. Painter's virtuosity, veristic naturalism and colorful execution are also manifested in the portrait of a girl from Paris, where he outlined the figure of a girl with silky chestnut hair and rosy cheeks in soft pastel tones on a light blue background. The work is an excellent example of Hynais' luminism understood in the intentions of the end and turn of the 19th century.
