Volkswagen - Kever / Beetle (Ovaal) - 1957

Offered for sale is this Volkswagen Beetle 1200 type 1 from the year 1957. The Volkswagen Typ1, better known as the Beetle, is one of the most iconic cars ever produced. Its history began in the 1930s in Germany, when the then leader of the country, Adolf Hitler, ordered the development of an affordable and practical car for the people. The project was entrusted to Ferdinand Porsche, a well-known automotive engineer. Porsche designed a prototype known as the Kd. F-Wagen, which stood for "Kraft durch Freude" (Strength through Joy) . The aim was to create a car that was affordable for the common man so that they could enjoy the freedom of driving.

This copy is one that comes from Canada. The vehicle therefore comes with Canadian export papers. In the past the car was repainted in a more modern color (spray quality: 5/10) . A lot of putty has been used. The interior has been reupholstered in more modern upholstery. The vehicle drives and shifts gears. A fun car to drive, NOT an original example for a collector. We recommend that you check the vehicle before driving it, for safety reasons.
