Volkswagen - T1- 1957

Volkswagen T1 fire brigade van from 1957. It’s in the Netherlands and has a Dutch registration. It has 7,400 km and is in very good condition with some slight signs of wear. An original Dutch fire brigade van from 1957. Always used in the Dutch province of Zeeland. 1200cc engine. The van has only travelled 7,400 km. It is still in very nice and original condition. It now has two benches, the front bench has the original T1 upholstery. It’s easy to use, great for fun occasions. I personally believe there isn’t a more authentic and better 1957 T1 out there. It has folding indicators (they’re easy to connect) . It currently has large indicators for safety. A lot of history is included. Brief history: Converted into a fire brigade van from the very beginning. It had to be replaced at some point and someone within the fire brigade was keen to have it. A different registration was used for the inspection. It then spent 30 years in a dry shed. The owner then passed away and the vehicle went to his daughter and son-in-law. They took it out of storage and refurbished it in an outstanding manner. They also arranged for the original registration from 1957 to be reinstated (which was still in place after all that time) . It was then used as a drinks van by the Red Cross. The van is now 63 years old. Always used with care. And it shows. And you can tell. It is intact, inside and out. The siren is not connected and the spotlight works. Just like the blue lamp. . . (bulb taken out) . The vehicle is in Muntendam.
