Volkswagen - T1 Samba 21 vetri - 1964

[ translate ]

The Volkswagen T1 is an ‘eccentric’ symbol object of the 1960s and 1970s, that was born from Ben Pon’s vision, the Dutch importer of Volkswagen. In 1947, Pon noticed a peculiar trolley set up on the body of a Beetle used to transport materials inside a factory. The dazzling idea was to turn that strange object of work into a road vehicle. Production began in 1950 with the intention of offering families a low-cost vehicle for comfortable trips, but its success was much greater than expected. The ‘samba bus’ became a real cultural revolution and the hippie movement made it its ideological manifesto linked to the new lifestyle of freedom. Obviously on four wheels. Production of T1 ceased in 1967, while the same cannot be said of the passion for the Volkswagen minibus, which still remains an iconic piece for collectors today. This T1 21 windows from 1964 was perfectly and recently restored. Now it is in extraordinary condition, flawless, truly like new! Flawless bodywork, interior and mechanics. Underbody in excellent condition. Perfect for collectors and competitions. Ready to use. It can be viewed in Reggio Emilia, Italy. It can be shipped to Italy and abroad. Code: VOL4
