Volkswagen - Trasporter T2 Pick-Up - 1973

[ translate ]

DESCRIPTION The vehicle looks very good, it was completely repainted even if the overall conditions before the restoration were good (as per photos) ; the bottom of the vehicle is very healthy. Before the restoration, it had small signs of rust on the rear wings that needed refurbishment. In the lower rear part, the vehicle needed some work on the sheet metal to fix a bad job done in the past. The interior is definitely well preserved, even if there are a small tear in the driver’s backrest and a small tear in the side bench. The braking system works perfectly, although it was only checked. The electrical system is perfectly working in all its functions, only an additional ignition switch was fitted because the original one no longer worked. It was chosen not to remove it because it is equipped with an original key which is used for the doors and for the compartment under the body. The engine works perfectly; the petrol pump, spark plugs and points were replaced for greater driving safety. The body has no particular dents, on the sideboards there are some marks due to the work done over the years; given the type of vehicle, we can say that it is in very good condition. The photos of the body itself before the restoration testify that over the years the vehicle has been well preserved and used with the utmost care even if it is a work vehicle. However, the vehicle will be supplied with its pole holder, not reassembled by choice. Supplied with its original tool bag containing jack and tools. The inspection is valid until January 2022. Original vintage black number plate and original vintage registration document with pages. It is also equipped with a vintage certificate of ownership. The documents show 3 previous owners even if a change of ownership was carried out following the transformation of the company that was the original owner. The third owner is a collector who then abandoned the restoration project. The odometer reading is about 75,000 km, unfortunately the vehicle is equipped with a 5-digit instrument, but it is assumed that the kilometres are original. This vehicle can be viewed in Certosa di Pavia, Italy.
