Voutch
Voutch VOUTCH Everything Must Be Earned, Le Cherche Midi 2013 Girl at the Bar, original illustration created in 2011, mounted in a mat with a caption in India ink. Signed. Gouache on paper 36 × 43 cm (14.17 × 16.93 in.) These are two drawings I created for Psychologies Magazine. I contributed to this monthly publication from 1999 to 2014, first by illustrating the main feature of each issue, then by freely choosing the subjects of my drawings. Jean-Louis Servan-Schreiber was a great lover of humorous drawings (particularly those by the New Yorker team), which is not all that common among media executives. He placed his trust in me right away, which was both pleasant and motivating. I’d like to take this opportunity to honor his memory. Voutch
