with tapering fullered blade of flattened-diamond section (pitted), russet iron hilt comprising double shell-guard, quillon with globular terminal, a pair of arms, knuckle-guard and tall ovoid pommel, decorated throughout in gilt with scrolling foliage and elaborate flowers within beadwork frames (losses, areas of pitting), and retaining its original grip of plaited wire and blued and gilt ribband between 'Turk's Heads'
