the first with colichemarde blade, etched with foliage and a patriotic Royalist inscription at the forte, brass hilt including boatshell-guard, a pair of quillons with moulded terminal (the other terminal missing), knuckle-guard and gadrooned pommel, and the grip bound with plaited copper wire and ribband between brass collars; the second with associated blade and gilt-brass hilt (incomplete) chiselled in low relief with rococo shell designs and bouquets
