with slender blade of diamond-section, iron hilt comprising short quillon with bulbous terminal chiselled with trellis, dish-guard pierced and chiselled with trellis centring on a scrollwork rondel and framed en suite, knuckle-guard interrupted by a moulding and near spherical pommel each decorated en suite with the guard, and the grip with a later plaited wire binding between 'Turk's Heads'
