with long slender blade of flattened-diamond section, stamped 'Me Fecit' within a short fuller and a further inscription (indistinct) on the other, iron hilt of slender bars, comprising a pair of vertically recurved quillons with flattened bud-shaped terminals, including dish-guard pierced with geometric shapes in a central panel, framed slender rectangular panels forming ring-guards, knuckle-guard joined to the dish by a pair of arms, and tall fluted pommel (small holes on the reverse, areas of pitting throughout), and the grip with a later binding of copper wire between 'Turk's Heads'
