An early 20th century German bracket clock by Winterhalder & Hofmeier, Neustadt. 8-day time and strike movement with quarter hour Westminster chime on coiled gongs, Silvered dial with engraved decoration and Roman numerals, subsidiary Fast/Slow and Chime/Silent dials, retailed by Edward & Sons, Glasgow. Walnut Neoclassical style case with a molded pediment top and carved frieze over a Brass dial door flanked by fluted pilasters with carved capitols on a stepped molded base. Older finish, some shrinkage, running when cataloged. 16 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $300-400
