40cm nagasa in shinogi zukuri form with iori mune, and kuri nakagojiri. Jihada is a mokume/itame mix with chikei. Tight gunome hamon with sunagashi and a midare-komi boshi, in nie-deki. Nakago is signed "KANE ? (character unclear)". Habaki with catscratch on bottom half, smooth on the top. Koshirae consists of a tightly ribbed saya with gilt copper mounts, including kurikata, sayajiri, fuchi, and kashira, which are in the form of waves. Gold foil seppa. Menuki in the form of horses. Accoutrements include a pair of wari-kogai with a family mon, tipped in silver, and a kozuka with insects. CONDITION: In good polish with features visible. Some minor pinprick spotting and some superficial scratches. Seppa are peeling, tsuba is rubbing to edges. Saya is good with a crack on the ha side, but presents well.
