Chinese Qing Dynasty Wangbu Blue and White Porcelain Painting Plaque. Potted in a rectangle shape, thick and painted ornamentations are rendered in blue and white color, depicted of flying eagle over pine dense tree. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The backside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks.
