Impressive piece, this Senoufo war helmet mask from the Ivory Coast. Painted in polychrome. Beautiful patina. Such masks were worn in preparation for a fight. Condition: Good, with split down and pieces of wood which came off. . . . . . . . . . take a look at the attached pictures. The horns are angled at the top, but I think this is the original condition. Without stand. Coming from an old French private collection of an old colonial. Origin: Ivory Coast Height: 45 cm.
