WEDGWOOD BLACK BASALT OVAL PLAQUE, â THE JUDGMENT OF HERCULESâ late 18th Century, impressed uppercase mark, the center molded in relief with the parable of Hercules at the crossroads choosing between â Virtueâ and â Viceâ , approx. h: 8 1/2 x w: 11 1/2 in., mounted on a red velvet and giltwood frame, h: 12 1/2 x w: 15 3/4 in.
