Ca. 1000 - 800 BC. Rare Luristan bronze horse bit with cheekpieces, in the form of a horse, cast in a beautiful style, standing on a horizontal base. The center of each horse with large hold for placement of the bit with curled ends. A lovely example which was part of the elaborate equipment of an important person’s horse.
