WESTON EDWARD: (1886-1958) American Photographer. One of the most innovative and influential photographers of 20th century. A good A.L.S., Edward Weston, one page, 4to, Carmel, California, 3rd November 1950, on his personal printed stationery, to Mr. Packard. Weston sends a short text letter to his correspondent, explaining in detail how to reach his home, stating `Sun. aft. The 19th will suit me. Leaving Carmel, take Highway no.1, Coast road, South. After crossing Carmel River, go about 4 miles to Wild Cat Creek Bridge. Don´t cross, turn sharp left at my mail box, and you are there. Very easy.´ Signed at the base by Weston, in his slightly shaky writing, as he was diagnosed in 1947 with Parkinson´s disease. Accompanied by the original envelope post-stamped, bearing his printed letterhead. VG
