WHALESHIP FIGUREHEAD 19th Century

Beautifully carved in the form of the bust of a woman supported on blue scrolls. Woman with elaborately curled hair, long dangling earrings, pink lips, a cap-sleeved dress and a red swag draped across her bust. Retains some original paint. Excellent dry patina. Height 16".
