We are grateful to John Fowler for his help with the authentication of this lot. This painting will be included in Mr. Fowler's forthcoming catalogue raisonné of the artist's work.

Condition Report:
There is frame abrasion at edges and the surface of the work appears to be slightly dirty. Under UV: there are scattered dots and thin lines of inpainting in the sky and a small area of inpainting at lower left corner.
