Fitch", oil on canvas, signed lower left, she is depicted underway, with two figures at helm, the coast in the background having a lighthouse, housed in a later gold cove frame, OS: 28 3/4" x 44 3/4", SS: 25 1/4" x 41 1/4". Cleaned and relined.The 'James W. Fitch' at 1,064 tons was built in Waldoboro, Maine by Levitt Storer in 1870.
