He resided on Upper Stump Road, Chalfont, and formerly lived in Lumberville.Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he was the son of John and Grace Loughran. He studied art in Paris and at the Art Students League in New York City and was called upon to exhibit paintings at the 1939 World’s Fair. His paintings were exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City, The Trenton Gallery, and Bryn Mawr College Museum. He was commissioned by the US government on several occasions during his lifetime.
