Engraving features circular vignettes of running deer & bear on right side, left side has circular vignette of mountain lion w/ game scene featuring deer on side plate. Scenes are surrounded by fancy borders w/ generous amounts of scroll highlights. Brass trapdoor carbine buttplate has engraving that complements the action. Walnut carbine forearm & straight grip walnut stock. CONDITION: bbl., mag. tube & metal parts have faded to mottled patina showing scattered pitting. Brass action shows a pleasing light patina & has series of dents on bottom of lifter. Extractor is broken. Refinished wood has dark lightly worn appearance showing scratches & marks.
