Forearm & pistol grip stock of fancy black walnut feature style H hand checkering, ebony grip cap insert & crescent steel buttplate. S# indicates 1891 mfg. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube retain 70% dull fading blue showing wear & spots of light corrosion. Action retains faint traces of case coloring w/ balance fading to mottled silver/gray patina. Refinished wood shows light wear w/ partially filled checkering. Stock has sm. chips left of top tang. Occasionally, the hammer fails to drop when fired w/ the trigger set.
