Cal. 303 Brit. S# 28859. Bbl. 22" carbine style. Pinned brass blade front sight w/ graduated leaf rear sight. Blued action w/ saddle ring on left side. Finger groove walnut forearm & handguard w/ straight grip stock having trapdoor steel carbine buttplate. Mfg. 1900. CONDITION: exposed part of bbl. retain 50% dull fading blue w/ spots of freckling. Action retains some blue in protected area, balance fading to gray/brown patina showing surface corrosion & spots of light pitting. Wood has dull worn finish showing numerous scratches & handling marks. Stock has sm. chips around tangs. Bore retains strong rifling having slightly darkened appearance in grooves. (19-4901/DS).
