Cal. 44. S# 103432. Bbl. 24" half oct. Dovetail half nickel front sight & dovetail adj. rear sight w/ 1/2 mag. Top tang has flip up adj. Lyman peep sight. Uncheckered forend. Uncheckered straight grip stock. Steel crescent buttplate containing 4 piece steel cleaning rod w/ brass tip. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum letter providing the following information "Rifle / Casehardened / Barrel Shape: 1/2 Octagon / Plain trigger / 1/2 Magazine / Received in warehouse on March 29,1884 / Shipped from warehouse on March 29, 1884, order number 11470". CONDITION: bbl. retains original blue, blending w. brown patina & minor wear on sharp edges of oct.. Receiver retains original case coloring, thinning in front blending w/ silver patina & stronger towards rear on left side. Right side is mostly blending w/ silver patina. Forend has original finish w/ hand worn patina & minor handling marks. Buttstock has original finish w/ knicks & dings as well as wear through grip area. Top of comb has 4 sm. dents. Bore is bright. (01-17889/BT). ANTIQUE. $5,500-6,500.
