WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 LEVER ACTION SRC

Cal. 44 H.R.F. S# 78021. Mfg. 1871. Bbl. 20" with integral muzzle band front sight and latter rear sight graduated to 1,000 yards. Band fastened walnut forearm and replacement buttstock with trap door crescent butt. Saddle ring mounted on left side of receiver. Left side of receiver stamped "69". CONDITION: Action has been heavily cleaned with rounding of sharp edges as well as numerous light to moderate dents. Upper and lower tang are both bent to accommodate replacement buttstock. Barrel and mag tube are well worn with darkened appearance along with numerous dents, scratches and handling marks. Mag tube has been shorted by 1/4". Buttstock is shy of both lower and upper tang with gap at wrist, as well as a few moderate dents, impressions and handling marks. Original forend is well worn with numerous light to moderate dents, scratches and handling marks. Bore is dark but displays sound rifling. (01-29618/BH). ANTIQUE. $2,000-3,000.
