WINCHESTER MODEL 1887 LEVER ACTION SHOTGUN

SERIAL NUMBER: 114997. BARREL: 28 3/4". CALIBER: 12 GAUGE. MANUFACTURED: 1888. Made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company of New Haven, Connecticut with blued "WP" marked steel barrel with bead front sight and choked cylinder in second year of production. Case hardened solid frame lever action with "W.R.A.Co." marking in script on left side. Plain trigger with one piece lever and blued 2/3 magazine. Standard round knob pistol grip buttstock with checkered steel buttplate. Matching plain two-piece walnut side panel forearm wood. CONDITION: Metal has a brown patina with light surface discoloration. Wood has wear from use over the years. Dark pitted bore with good functioning mechanics. A great cowboy gun. ANTIQUE.
