WINCHESTER MODEL 52D TARGET BOLT ACTION RIFLE
SERIAL NUMBER: 112075D. BARREL: 28". CALIBER; .22 LR. MANUFACTURED: 1964. This Winchester Model 52D Single-Shot Target Rifle (Serial Number 112075D) was manufactured in 1964 during the peak era of American smallbore competition. Built on the highly rigid, single-shot "D" variant receiver with a solid steel floor, this rifle features a 28-inch heavy, free-floating match-grade barrel and Winchester's renowned externally adjustable Micro-Motion trigger. The top of the barrel retains its factory-installed external scope blocks, and the receiver is drilled and tapped, though the rifle is currently presented without sights or optics. Highly prized by benchrest shooters for its legendary accuracy, the action and barrel remain a premium foundation for vintage smallbore competition. The heavy American walnut Marksman stock features a wide, flat forearm with an inset accessory rail on the underside for target slings or hand-stops. The rear of the stock has been modified with a vintage, period-correct aluminum adjustable target buttplate assembly, designed to accept a dual-rod extension system for personalized length-of-pull adjustments. However, the sliding two-rod Schuetzen-style hooked extension piece is missing and not included. CONDITION: Good. The bore is shiny with sharp rifling. The rear sling mount is missing a screw and the stock in that area has a chip missing. C&R 27-436
