IN DESIRABLE 25-35 W.C.F. Cal. 25-35 WCF. S# 1438961. The flat band variation had a brief life span beginning in July 1946 and ending Dec. of 1948 with a total production of approx. 139,000. Mfg. 1947 with 20" bbl having ramp mounted bead front sight and elevator adjustable sporting rear. Full blue finish. Walnut forend and straight grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. The 25-35 chambering remains one of the most desirable calibers amongst Winchester 1894 collectors today. "ARMAX" survey indicates that from S# 1-353,999, only 10.4% of all model 1894 Winchesters were mfg in 25-35. CONDITION: very good overall. Metal surfaces retain 85-90% original blue finish with high edge and carry wear, minor handling marks and scratches. Stock set very good overall with minor scratch on left side of forend behind band and few other scattered dings and impressions. Bore has strong rifling with frosting in grooves. (26-3152/BH).
