CARBINE. Cal. 38-55. S# 644101. Bbl. 20" w/ post base front sight & carbine ladder rear. Mfg. 1910 w/ saddle ring & carbine buttstock. Modern detachable sling studs on forend band & in buttstock. Winchester marked tang drilled & tapped for sight. Border checkered hammer. CONDITION: good overall appearance w/ best finish on bbl. & mag. tube. Noticeably worn finish on receiver, bolt & lever w/ peppery oxidation throughout. Upper portion of saddle ring cut off & base filed. Numerous light marks on stock set most pronounced on left side of butt & near edges of buttplate at top. Worn patina appearance of buttplate & bbl. band. Near excellent bore. (19-5485/NW).
