Cal. 30 Army (30-40 Krag). S# 412326B. Bbl. 28" rnd. w/ pinned blade bead front sight & elevator adj. sporting rear sight. Blue finish. Left side of action has 2 added open holes for sight attachment. Schnabel tipped forearm w/ ebony insert & straight grip walnut stock w/ crescent steel buttplate. Stock & forearm have aftermarket point pattern checkering w/ German Silver elliptical inlays on bottom of forearm & toeline of stock. Mfg. 1924. CONDITION: 60% dull blue showing wear in carry areas of scattered areas of very light pitting. Consignor states the stock & forearm were sanded, refinished & nicely checkered by Byron “Bud” Chaples. Stock has sm. chips behind lower tang. Bore has strong rifling. (19-5971/DS). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
