Model 1873 stock has crescent steel trapdoor butt plate. Walnut replacement forearm. Loading gate, lever latch & some action screws may be replacement. Mfg. 1872. CONDITION: bbl. and mag. tube have a cleaned gray appearance with scattered light pitting. Brass action shows numerous dents and marks with evidence of past cleaning and is acquiring a mild patina. Stock shows heavy with dents & marks having a under size fit to the action. Replacement forearm shows light finish wear. Lever shows slight looseness.
