This print was used by the printers to fill in orders for new subscribers to The North American Indian. Costing over $3000 Curtis sold about 250 sets from 1905-1930. When prints were needed for later subscribers the printing companies would prepare and print needed prints as here, when they note on this that one more of this print on Japan Vellum was made.
