WMF IKORA tin from the Art Deco or Bauhaus period.

Ikora metal, glass and ceramic goods were produced in the New Decorative Arts Department (NKA) of the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) in Geislingen/Steige from the end of the 1920s.

The offered can with the form no. 1529 has the following dimensions (all information is approximate) :

Weight (including lid) : 582 g

Maximum height (including lid) : 18. 5 cm

largest diameter: 14 cm

Material: silver-plated brass, partly black patinated.

Marks (bottom) : Tower mark/WMF Ikora, beehive mark. This combination of marks was only used between 1928 and 1935.

In the literature there are various decorations for form no. 1529, this is decoration 1683.
This tin is the “little sister” of the tin with the shape no. 110 designed by Paul Haustein.

Condition: Used, with normal signs of age and wear, see pictures. The lid with the leg button closes well.
